R. A. Smith

R. A. Smith is professor of Classics at Baylor University (Texas). His fields of research include Latin and Greek poetry, the history of classical scholarship, and Renaissance studies. Smith’s research primarily concerns Augustan poetry, and he has also published on various aspects of classical reception in the Renaissance and Reformation. He's the author, together with Piergiacomo Petrioli, of The Eloquent Artist (Pendragon, 2024).
